Therapy Buddy ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our application.
When you use Therapy Buddy, we may collect the following information:
Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address to authenticate you and sync your data across devices.
App data: Information you enter into the app, including caregiver name, child's name and age, goals, and therapy logs. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you create an account, in our secure database.
Usage data: Anonymous data about how you use the app to help us improve the product.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Therapy Buddy service. Specifically:
• To sync your data across devices when you're signed in
• To generate personalized recommendations based on your logs
• To improve the app based on usage patterns
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., our database provider Supabase).
AI-powered recommendations are generated using Anthropic's Claude API. Logs sent for analysis are not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the request.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can delete your data at any time from the Goals tab in the app.
Therapy Buddy is designed for use by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about children entered into the app is provided by the caregiver and is treated with the same protections as all user data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
